Notes from the book

- There's two kinds of learning: the things you learn and know and the training that teaches you how to find out what you do not know.

Acquire, Keep and Use Money

- Live upon less than you earn by paying yourself first : A part of all you earn is yours to keep and should be at least a 10th of your earnings no matter how little you earn, but it can be as much more as you can afford. Don't buy things more than you can pay for with the rest of your earnings and still have enough for food, charity and offering to God.

- Take advice only from those who were competent through their own experiences to give it. Let them save you from loosing wealth. A small return and a safe one is far more desirable than risk.

- Make gold work for you : Wealth like a tree grows from a tiny seed, the first amount you save is the seed from which your tree of wealth shall grow. The sooner you plant that seed, the sooner the tree shall grow. And the more faithfully you nourish and water that tree with consistent savings, the sooner you may back in the contentment beneath its shade.

Wealth grows wherever men exert energy.
